How to Unleash the Power of Heart Healing as a Mompreneur

Being both a mom and a small business owner comes with a unique set of challenges. We know that our Rainmaker moms can rise to the occasion and take their entrepreneurial journey while raising and spending time with their amazing family. But sometimes you need to take some time for yourself. You’re more than just a parent and a businessperson; you are a unique, wonderful person who deserves to take time for yourself. And that’s why the practice of heart healing can help you achieve success as a monpreneur!

We’ve talked about the power of resting before, and today we’re going to talk about another way to take time for yourself: heart healing. Heart healing is a wonderful way for moms like you to help maintain a good work-life balance. All while keeping sight of your goals without getting overwhelmed by stress and struggle.

We sat down with our friend Elise, founder of the Heart Healing Network, to talk about heart healing and how it can help our mompreneurs find peace and healing in their own lives.

What Is Heart Healing?

Spirituality is important to our family, and we know it’s important to lots of you, our Rainmaker families, too. Heart healing is a spiritual practice; it’s the process of connecting with God, and it almost feels like a counseling session between you and the Divine. The Bible calls God things like the healer, the deliverer, and the counselor. For us, heart healing is letting the Lord meet you right where you’re at. The process of heart healing is really just a conversation with God. In this conversation, you accept and allow him to bring healing to anything that you’ve been through or that you’re currently experiencing.

When Do I Need Heart Healing?

Heart healing is a way to let God speak to you about where you’re going and what your next steps are. It’s a special time when you can really find some inner clarity and peace. This is so useful, especially when we’re in a season of life where we’re really feeling like we need to be providers. That can lead to a lot of stress and turmoil, and it can feel like you’re trying to hold and support everything– even things that aren’t your burden to bear. When you’re feeling like you’re trying to hold the whole world in your hands, it’s time to step back and reach out to God.

When you open your heart to healing and let God step in, you’ll be amazed at what you might see and accomplish. We provide for our families, but God provides for us. Think about how you feel when your kids come to you asking for something. You want to provide for them– you want them to be happy and feel supported, and that’s what God wants for you, too.

Sustainable Self-Care

When you think of counseling and looking inward, many of us tend to think of it as the opportunity to clearly identify problems and issues with the hopes of solving them. But there’s more to heart healing than just identifying problems. Heart healing is a way to center and ground yourself. A way to focus inwards instead of focusing outwards all the time. It’s not like confession (one of the big misconceptions around heart healing).

Heart healing never pushes you to share anything that you don’t want to, and never takes you further than you’re willing to go in your heart. Heart healing doesn’t mean immediately addressing something painful, hard, or something that you’re just not ready to talk about. Instead, it’s a gentle path that can bring you a feeling of trust. As Elise puts it, “one of the amazing things about the Lord is that He’s a gentleman, and so he never pushes you faster than you’re ready.”

Healing as Self-Investment

Heart healing is more than just prayer or mindfulness; it’s a paid service that certifies people to really do the work to help you. And this is something where people sometimes feel a little resistance because we are often conditioned to have a scarcity mindset and be uncomfortable about money.  Sometimes we see this scarcity mindset develop as a fear of money, where people are concerned about being greedy or putting too much emphasis on money.

When Elise started charging for her healing services, she was feeling that resistance in herself. But she realized that money is just a tool. Without money, you can’t get too far in whatever it is that you’re trying to do. By spending the money and working on yourself, you will be able to see how investing in your inner self can bring dividends to your life as a mom and your life as a businessperson.

If you want to work on your own mindset and enjoy the support and comfort of a community of moms who want the same thing you do, join our seven-day Rainmaker Challenge. You’ll learn everything you need to grow as a mom and as an entrepreneur.

How To Overcome Resistance

Sometimes, no matter how well you plan or how hard you work, life gets challenging. When things get hard, we know from our own experiences that a breakthrough is right around the corner… but that doesn’t help fix things in the now. Sometimes when we’re doing the hard work and learning the lessons that we need to succeed, we find ourselves in an emotional minefield.
